Juan Manuel Lopez's Obituary
On Saturday, May 20th, 2023, Juan “John” Manuel Lopez, beloved husband, father and friend to many, passed away at the age of 50, after his battle with cancer.
Juan was born on October 18, 1972, in Apple Valley, California, to John Manuel and Linda Marie (Day) Lopez. He grew up in Wheatland, Wyoming and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 13. When he was 17 years old, his family moved to American Fork, Utah, where he graduated. Juan met his love, Elaine Evelyn (Ludwig) there. Several years later, they married in October 1994. They raised three children, Analeise (Danaan) Wayman, Jesse, and Levi Lopez.
Juan’s passion for the great outdoors was known to all. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and liked to travel. He loved spending time camping with his friends and family, where they would enjoy stories and laughter around the campfire.
He is survived by his wife, children, and his brothers Timothy and Christopher Lopez. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Linda Lopez.
A memorial service will be held for Juan at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 95 S 500 E, American Fork, Utah, on June 3rd, at 4:00 p.m. It will be broadcast via Zoom 885 1469 3279 (no spaces) passcode 777444 for those who can’t attend in person. A meal will follow at the Hilton Garden Inn 3150 N Hotel Loop, Lehi, Utah.
