Juanita Kiplinger Arnold's Obituary
Mom, God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away, yet could not ask you to stay. A Golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove us, He only takes the best. It’s lonesome here without you; we miss you more each day. Life doesn’t seem the same since you have gone away. When days are sad and lonely, and everything goes wrong, We seem to hear you whisper, “Cheer up and carry on.” Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say, Don’t cry, I’m in God’s hands, we’ll meet again someday!
Juanita was born in Cave City Arkansas to the union of Clarence and Mary Pierce. She was the 4th of 5 children; siblings being Mildred, Hazel, Henry & Jewel all of which have preceded her in death. At the age of 18 she married Paul Rex Kiplinger and bore 4 children; Carolyn, Paula, Deborah and Cynthia and adopted a son Douglas while living in Germany. Years later the union ended in divorce. Paul was in the military and they moved many times giving her a love for travel and new experiences. She was a people person making friends throughout the states and in Europe. Family was VERY important to her and she looked up anyone and everyone on both his and her sides of the family, got to know them, made lifetime friends and remained in contact to the end. She also had a love of animals and over the years enjoyed many dogs and birds of all kinds. In the late 80’s she opened a business taking care of elderly clients in her home, which she continued approximately 20 years, until she was 73 years old. At that time she retired and married a lifelong friend, Amos Arnold. They had a wonderful life until he passed of a heart attack one January morning. Early in the relationship with Amos, she was diagnosed with lymphoma, which she fought a long hard battle until March 3, 2011. She is now in heaven with husband Amos, daughter Paula, son Douglas, parents and her siblings. She was the matriarch of a large and extended family and will be dearly missed by friends and family alike. At her request cremation has taken place with Premier Funeral Services, and ashes will remain at her place of choice in Colorado. Many thanks go to CNS Hospice of West Jordan, Utah. The doctors, nurses, aides, chaplain, social worker, Harpist, Senior Wish Coordinator, volunteer, and countless others made her last year painless and pleasant in such a way that the family alone could not have managed.
