Juanita Corbett's Obituary
Our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to all, Juanita Corbett peacefully left us March 30, 2025 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Juanita was born November 21st 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Manuel and Edna (Mantyla) Garcia. She had a lively and hectic childhood growing up with three sisters; Pat Morgan (passed 2015)(Richard), Lydia (Terry) Manning, Linda (Davy) Davies, and four brothers Babe Garcia (passed 1980)(Priscilla), Sonny Garcia (passed 2013)(Louise), Gil Garcia (Shelley) and Carlos Garcia (passed 2006)(Rhonda).
Our mom was a selfless and hardworking woman, always putting others first. She graduated from Granite High School while balancing numerous responsibilities at home to help her family. In 1966, she married James Corbett, who passed away in 1979.
As she grew into adulthood, she became the most doting mom to Tony (Theresa), Juanita (Andrew), Jessie, and Colby, and then a loving grandmother to Madison (Wes), Amanda (Grant), Malorie, Caroline (Alec), Samantha (Ryder), Reece, Amelia, Zane, Alex, Anthony, and her first great grandchild Hayes. We will never forget her beautiful singing, warm hugs and smiles, and extraordinary birthday cakemaking.
She never asked for much and preferred a quiet and private way of living.
All will miss you and we know you are now resting peacefully and rejoicing with your mom & dad, sister and brothers.
We’d like to thank the providers at St. Mark’s Hospital ICU whose extraordinary medical care is only surpassed by their empathy and caring.
