Judy Kaye Ferre, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September, 2nd, 2022 in West Valley City, Utah.
Judy was born in Decatur, Illinois to Raymond and Bessie Ferre, she was the 6th of 7 children. Judy shared a very special bond with her twin sister, Nancy, who was by her side from her first breath to her last.
Judy graduated from MacArthur High School in Decatur, Illinois in 1959. She cherished the memories and friendships she continued to have with the people from her graduating class. Judy was in the Navy and was very proud to serve her country. Judy had two daughters, Debbie and Tammy, whom she raised on her own. She taught them to be strong, independent women.
Judy worked for Levitz Furniture Company in Phoenix, Arizona and later transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah where she raised her daughters. After Levitz Furniture Company closed, Judy moved to Hitchcock, Texas with her twin. She worked in accounting for JC Penney’s for several years and made a lot of lifelong friends.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bessie Ferre, 4 of her brothers, and 1 sister. Judy is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Richard) Charlesworth of Forest Grove, Oregon, Tammy (Gene) Ferris of West Valley, Utah, Sister Nancy O’Grady of Hitchcock Texas, grandchildren Geoffrey (Lindsey) Charlesworth of Milwaukee Oregon, Eric Charlesworth of Forest Grove, Oregon, Jennah (Nick) Garcia of West Valley, Utah, Jacob (Amanda) Heaton of Denver, Colorado, 11 Great-grand children, who were her life, many nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion, Lucy (her dog), who stayed by her side until the end. We would like to thank Canyons Hospice, especially Craig Carroll, and Joann Hansen, we appreciate the care you gave our mom.
Judy loved golfing, playing bingo, shopping, watching cooking shows, and home improvement shows. Judy had a big heart for all animals; she loved spending time with family and friends, and especially her Grandkids and Great-Grand kids.
