Judith Eleanor Taylor's Obituary
Judith Eleanor Taylor, age 79, passed away on February 28, 2023 after fighting a rare cancer, Leiomyosarcoma for a year. She planned on coming home after a month stay at the hospital for various complications to start a holistic protocol. She was not giving up!! Her grandson, Mikey, built a custom railing donated by his employer “M2” to make her home more accessible, but sadly she was called to be with her HEAVENLY FATHER passing away of aspiration pneumonia. She was born on July 26, 1943 to Harry Landsdowne Taylor and Roxanne Louise Stillwell Taylor in Los Angeles, California.
Judi was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faith and Family were important for Judi. She was especially close with her sister Marie (John) Plakos of Whidbey Island, WA, best friend Char Kaiser of Big Bear, CA and many others.
Judi adored her house, her crafts and her “projects”. She had many callings in the church and loved children. She had many vocations starting as a beautician at a young age and put herself through nursing school while raising five children as a single parent. Judi worked as a Registered Nurse at King County Jail, at nursing homes, and in pediatric settings. She, also, worked as a receptionist, customer service representative and even got her real estate license. She always had a home where she rented a room or a finished basement. She was very savvy, intelligent, and had a love of learning. She was a “Hip” Mom and Grandma (Nanny) and always kept up with the latest trend. Judi was “forever fashionable”. She was determined, driven and ran circles arounds her children. Up until a few months ago she swam 50 laps a day at the local gym pool. She loved working in her backyard late at night with a spotlight, and even used her own chainsaw to trim trees and bushes. As she always said “Don’t Try, Just Do!
She is survived by four children: Taunya (Scott) Andersen, Rachael (Joed) Haddad, Michael Wade Fambrough, and Chad (Nicole) Fambrough. Judi raised two grandchildren as her own, Kaila Davis and Jermaine Bosley. She has 6 other grandchildren, Michael (Mikey) Andersen, Eli Haddad, Maurie Haddad, Jayme Brown, Abigail Fambrough, and Olivia Fambrough and four great grandchildren Nevaeh, Sean, Shi, and Ember Davis.
Judi was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Miranda Fambrough, her children’s father, Clarence Fambrough, and her parents. She had a big heart and cared for many people such as Miranda’s friend, Dina Strait of Redmond, WA during their high school years.
Per her wishes a private viewing was held for immediate family only prior to cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the family and are greatly appreciated. Venmo @Taunya-Fambrough
A celebration of life will be held on May 12, 2023 at 7 pm at 5635 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, Utah.
