Judith Ann Taylor's Obituary
Judith Ann Taylor, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023, at the age of 78 at The Beaumont Assisted Living in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on November 1, 1944, in Canton, Ohio. Judy moved often and lived in many places throughout her childhood as a member of an Army active-duty family. She graduated with honors from North Thurston High School in Olympia, Washington. Judy loved learning and was well educated with several degrees beginning with her undergrad degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington. She later went back to school to earn a Masters of Allied Health from Boston University and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Judy was a lifelong learner.
She began her working career at Boeing Company then moved to
Parsons Rotor Blades. She was an Episcopalian Nun for the Order of St. Anne Bethany, Lincoln, Massachusetts from 1973 – 1986. She then returned to the work force as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner and Licensed Professional Counselor for the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Pikes Peak Mental Health Center. She retired as unit manager for the State of Missouri Mental Health System
In September of 1992, Judy was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very faithful and active and provided much service to the church. She had a passion for genealogy, not only researching and recording her own but helping many others with theirs. She served a church service mission for the churches Genealogical Department from February 2011 to May 2014.
She loved music and singing and sang in many choirs starting at a young age and continuing into her adult years. She was a voracious reader, loved crafting, and travel.
She is preceded by her mother Hester May Baugh Taylor and father Clyde Homer Taylor Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Janette Elizabeth & Taylor Usher (Norman), Gay Lynne Liebertz, Allen Taylor (Marjorie), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to be held in her honor at the Beaumont Assisted Living, located at 1150 S. Main Street, Bountiful Utah on May 17 @ 10:00 am in the LDS chapel on the lower level of the building. She will be interred in the Canon City, Colorado cemetery where she will be laid to rest with beloved family members.
