Julie Ann Henderson's Obituary
Julie Ann Henderson, 77, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Julie was born on June 5, 1948, to Andrew and Marion Ontiveros. She was the oldest of 5 children. Andrew, Kathy, Bobby, and Debbie. She was raised in Midvale, Utah, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1966.
On June 6, 1968, Julie married Norman “Rusty” Henderson. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family, raising four children: Kristy, Steffanie, Preston, and Andy.
Julie enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the telecommunications industry, where she specialized in programming phone systems for the State of Utah and other organizations. Outside of her professional life, Julie’s true passion was music. She performed throughout Utah, including appearances in the Days of ’47, The King & I, The Music Man, and Bye Bye Birdie.
She especially cherished performing alongside her daughter Kristy, the two fondly referring to themselves as “The Utah Judds.”
Julie had a deep love for her savior, Jesus Christ serving in many roles in her local congregations throughout her life including the Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society presidencies.
Always sharing her love for music and her savior with those around her.
Above all else, Julie’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Wherever her family gathered, there was sure to be music playing and a Diet Coke in hand—that was where Julie was happiest.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Kathy, Bobby, and Andrew; her husband, Rusty; and her son, Preston.
She is survived by her sister, Debbie; her children, Kristy (Richard), Steffanie (Matthew), and Andy (Michelle); her 18 grandchildren; and her great-grandchild, Xander.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2101 N Providence Dr. Saratoga Springs, UT 84045.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
A graveside interment will follow at Lehi City Cemetery.
Julie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
