Julio Cesar Gomez Sandoval's Obituary
Julio was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on December 9, 1955. He lived there for 34 years before moving to California and later picking up and moving to Utah 8 years later. Living in a dangerous country Julio decided it was time to find a better life for his wife and daughters. He worked in California for 1 year without his family in order to save his money to bring his family over finally in 1955 he was able to bring his wife and two young daughters to the states. Julio passed away Saturday, January 18th, 2014 in the nursing home he presided surrounded by his family. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Julio was a glowing face in a room of darkness. He was friendly and was more than willing to lend a helping hand to all those in need of assistance. He was a talented soccer player, playing professionally for his home country’s national team. Julio was a family man and put them above everything and anything else. He worked hard his whole life to support his family, for in his mind his family deserved the best of the best. He was loved by many, among those are his daughters he praised above all else. Julio was energetic and loved to be traveling, he was rarely if ever seen inside on a beautiful, sunny day. Julio was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in September of 2008. Slowly and tragically began his journey to what would be the worst years of his life. In the brink of losing his memories, forgetting how to do simple tasks and forgetting his family and friends, Julio somehow always found a way to bring a smile to those around him as if in some way knowing that his friends and family still needed his comfort and support which he always gave a 100% of. Although some days were worse than others Julio managed to pull through over and over again for a long time. Being as strong and stubborn as he was none of his family and friends were surprised of course, but in the end it our loving Heavenly Father decided it was his time to go. Julio although having many flaws, as he was only human, had a big heart and will be missed more than he will ever know. Julio is survived by his daughters, Nathalia, Vanessa, and his baby Melissa. His ex-wife Rebeca. His sisters Blanca, Miriam, Isabel, and Lucy. His brothers Francisco and Oscar. His mother Blanca. And his many nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandchildren, and his many friends. Julio is following his nephew Hugo and his father Francisco. Dad we love you more than you know and we will continue to be as kind, friendly, selfless, and caring as you were. Thank you for all you did for us and we cannot wait to see you again. God be with you till we meet again.
