Selfless, Loving Mother
June Dow Jones, age 84, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at Mt. Ogden Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Ogden, Utah, on October 11, 1938, to Walter and Rosetta Dow. She graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College. June married Donald F. Jones and they later divorced. She married Charles M. Mabey and they later divorced. She worked at Defense Depot Ogden and Hill Air Force Base for many years, retiring at age 55.
June enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting and crafting. She loved to take drives around Pineview Dam and routinely drove to Idaho for lottery tickets.
She was a selfless, loving, and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survived by her children Douglas C. Jones, Jeffrey L. Jones, and Jill (Jones) Woods (Walter James Woods); grandchildren Rebecca Jones, Amanda Jones, Isabella Woods, Bram Woods, and Jett Woods; and great grandchild Rylee Noyes. “We love you way more!” Preceded in death by brother Floyd Dow and sister Elaine Taylor.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 15, from 6–8 pm at Premier Funeral Home, 5335 South 1950 West in Roy, Utah, 84067.
