Justin Earl Riddle's Obituary
Justin Earl Riddle, 45, passed peacefully on October 11, 2022 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center, Washington Terrace, UT. Justin was born in Brigham City, UT on August 31, 1977 and is the eldest child of Phillip “Jerry” Riddle of Corvallis, OR and Rosalee Thompson of Brigham City, UT.
Justin graduated from Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, Class of 1995
Justin had a younger brother Travis that quickly became his partner in mischievousness antics and the two were inseparable. Together the dynamic duo would pull pranks on many friends and family, especially on their mother. This brotherly bond and friendship were unwavering and has led to countless years of laughter looking back on their memories as they share their stories with so many others. That Kinships solid foundation inspired others to have such a bond that it spread to lifelong friendships for them and so many others.
Justin would shine when it came to loving people. His quiet and patient demeanor gave him the ability to listen to those that needed someone to hear them. He had a huge heart and smile that would win you over even if you fought it. Subtle was his quick wit and uncanny sarcasm that would surprise you and often drop jaw in disbelief it coming from him. His true nature of loving and always wanting to help people and the nurture side of him would have him bringing home anyone needing help or love or even just a friend. His parents have had several other children in their home because of Justin’s lovingness. Some would leave, but many did stay making the Riddle’s their home over many years. Justin was a huge animal lover like his mother and had to always have a dog next to him. He could train animals to be angels with his patience so unwavering and it showed in his dog Max who’d help bring in groceries or Sabastian who would walk where he went but never leave his heel and would run to his side just prior to a seizure and stay to watch over him until he was alert again.
As Justin grew, so did his curiosity and interests so he was not afraid to try a new skill or tackle a trade or seek out learning or adventure. Those nuances honed his passions and he found that he loved being outdoors. His favorite recreations were fishing, camping, four wheeling, and especially sitting around the campfire just listening to the stories and smiling or laughing remembering or enjoying the reminiscences of his family or friends. At home, he found happiness in cooking and was exceptional at doing it, especially his enchiladas! Cooking was something he aspired to do and wanted to attend culinary school but his learning nature for everything pulled him into so many other crafts and hobbies that cooking gave way to Vinyl stickers, which had Justin putting Vinyl on every car window or home he could and got so good at it, he managed to even start a little home-based business making custom logos and T-shirt prints. His other crafts had him making clocks for family he’d cover with photos of their life and photographing every and all types of nature and breathtaking scenery. Photography was a hobby just for him and his wellbeing and he had an eye for things no one else could notice, but he’d capture through his lens and share the beauty of it with you and it gave you a glimpse of the world through his eyes.
Justin is proceeded in death by his Grandfathers Jim Riddle and Earl Thompson, as well as both grandmothers, Oletha Riddle and Leora Thompson (whom he had a special bond with and knew he was her favorite), many cousins, aunts and Uncles, and his best friends Max and Sabastian.
He is survived by his parents Phillip “Jerry” Riddle and Rosalee Riddle in Pleasant View, UT. His brothers Travis (Janette) Riddle in North Ogden, UT and Ryan (Jenny) Bingham in Kaysville, UT. Two Handsome nephews Traesen Riddle and Wade Bingham, as well as two beautiful nieces Sydney Riddle and Ava Bingham.
