Karl George Healey's Obituary
On June 19, 2025, Karl George Healey passed away unexpectedly in the American Fork Hospital, after a short illness. He was born January 3, 1937 in Hamilton, Montana, to Harold Healey and Vaudis Beatrice Omer Healey.
Karl is survived by his wife of 68 years, Delila Lee Healey, 3 brothers; Jay, Paul and Leon, 6 children; Steven (Toni), LeAnne Lane (Cody-deceased), Dennis (Kim), Gene (Denise), Christine Stephens (Daymon), and Kendra Lee (Verlan); 35 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Karl is preceded in death by 3 brothers; Garn, Donald and Stanley, 1 sister; Laurel and 4 grandchildren; Zane, Allen, Daniel and Karli.
Karl lived most of his life in Lehi, Utah. He married Delila Lee October 18, 1957 in Fillmore, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple on April 3, 1971, and they were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
When Karl and Dee were first married, Karl was an underground, hard rock miner in Lark, Utah. He worked many years there until the mine was shut down. He then found a job as a mechanic in Orem, Utah and also for Lehi City. He was a great mechanic, and soon obtained a more lucrative job as a truck driver with Dan M. Ogden Trucking; where he was employed the rest of his working life.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He spent many wonderful days with his best friend and brother-in-law, Clifford Lee. Along with Cliff...Karl and his sweetheart, Delila went camping every July for the whole month. Many other family members joined them when they could...it was an outing the whole family looked forward to.
Services will be at the Lehi 6th ward Meetinghouse; 220 West 200 South Lehi, Utah, on June 28, 2025. Viewing at 9:00 am Funeral service at 10:00 a.m.
