Karlene “Cat Lady” Fuller
1967 - 2017-02-19
Karlene Fuller also known as the “Cat Lady” or to her granddaughters she is their “Kittygranny”. She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was born on September 16, 1967 in Ogden, Utah. She married Ronald Fuller on November 8, 1985 and later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 4, 1988. She passed away in her home on February 15, 2017.
She was diagnosed with colon cancer February 2016 and had put up a good fight for about a year. She was preceded in death by her Juanita (Perry) Fuller, mother in law (who died of colon cancer as well). Gerald A. Fuller, father in law, Hubert B. Rawson, father, Tyrell Huntley, nephew and Wyatt Dominguez, nephew.
Survived by her husband Ronald D. Fuller, two sons Nathon (Rogenia) Fuller, Cody Fuller, two granddaughters Ella Abigal Fuller and Alyssa Nicole Fuller, mother Leah Rae Rawson, two siblings Craig (Teresa) Rawson, Carie (Jerry) Stone, nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Bonneville High School. She volunteered several years with Project Linus and was a volunteer coordinator for Animal Angels (a cat rescue in Layton). She helped find forever homes for many, many, many, many, many cats. She was a wonderful woman, very strong, positive, caring, kind and a good listener. She is a friend to all she met and will be missed by all who knew her.
On behalf of Karlene we would like to express our gradtitufe to the McKay Dee Hospital doctors, many nurses and staff. Also to the many cancer patients who had been such an inspiration to her. Thank you as well for all the non stop thoughts, prayers and support for her and her family.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Layton Hills Ward, 3290 North 1050 East, Layton, UT. There will be a viewing prior to services from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 am. Interment in the Willard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Best Friends or the Cancer Society.
