Karma was a quiet, funny, loving and caring woman. I got to know her when we served together in relief Society. She had been secretary for a long time and knew how things worked. She was just so king and patient teaching us what we were supposed to do. We became friends. I treasure our friendship. She was always ready to offer service. She took me to surgery and was there after for anything I needed. Her and Jerry were amazing. They invited us into their home and made up feel like family. I got to know several of their children. They all amazing just like their parents

When Derek and I got engaged and were quickly putting together wedding plans, Karma volunteered to alter my wedding dress so that I could wear it in the temple. I remember being kinda shocked at how easy it seemed for her to offer her service to me, someone she barely knew. It meant even more to me then because I didn't have my own family's support. Karma and Jerry continued to make me feel included and like family. They set a great example of inclusivity and kindness that I will always treasure.
