Kathee Lambert's Obituary
Kathleen (Kathee) Lambert, age 64, passed away peacefully the afternoon of May 17, 2018 surrounded by family members. She was born June 23, 1953 the daughter of Fred Ivan Lambert and Kathryn Harmon Lambert, the third child and second daughter in a family of eight children. Kathee loved music and singing. She was privileged to sing in various choral groups in Salt Lake for many years during her lifetime.
Kathee graduated from Granger High School in 1971 then attend Utah State University and University of Utah earning a degree in Music and Elementary Education. She later attended graduate school and completed a master’s degree at Southern Utah University. She taught for 31 years in Granite School District, mostly fourth grade, and retired from teaching in 2008.
In 2002, Kathee flew to China and adopted a beautiful 16-month-old baby girl, Sharlee Jade, that she loved dearly. Sharlee brought so much joy and happiness into her life.
Kathee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in various capacities with her talented gift of music; either by playing the organ or as a pianist. Her most recent and favorite church calling was teaching Gospel Doctrine.
Kathee is survived by her daughter: Sharlee Jade Lambert; brothers: Gary and Douglas; sisters: Kara, Vicki, Linda, and Renee. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sherri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter 27th Ward, West Valley City (4980 West 3285 South). Friends and family may visit from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services Saturday morning. Interment at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, Utah. Services provided by Premier Funeral Services.
