I will always remember when I got to do Katie’s hair and makeup for her high school prom, such an honor…she was always beautiful inside and out and grew up to be one of the bravest, strongest women I know. We love and miss you dearly.

I enjoyed many times with Kat from youth activities to girl parties and our house and interviews in my office. Kat had a deep love for God, family and friends. She always had that beautiful smile and was one of the kindest people on the planet. She dealt with challenges with courage and inner strength. She exemplified qualities that her parents also have: love and concern for others, enjoyment of life and fierce loyalty of family. Kat, we love you and will miss you. We look forward to our reunion on the other side. Randy & Sandra Tigby
Kat was not someone I knew deeply, but she was a fixture in my life. I reliable face, with kind words to share, she was a good friend to my sisters and her influence for good on our family was deep and felt. Sending love in this difficult time to those who remain behind.

We will always remember the special trick-or-treat night that was organized in our neighborhood because Kat was so amazing and wanted to hand out candy and share the joy with all of the neighborhood children! What an incredible soul!!
I once heard a quote and it said "to be an angel in the next life, you must be one in this life", Kat embodied that. She was so loving and generous, kind and thoughtful, patient and understanding. She left a mark on anybody she came into contact with. To go through life with such grace in the face of adversity was so inspirational.
I was fortunate enough to meet Kat and Steve a few years ago at the tattoo studio and through that we quickly became friends. I'll always cherish the time I got to spend with her. I think sometimes people just pop into your life when you need them. Kat was one of those people to me. I always looked forward to the day she was coming to get tattooed. We would sit and talk about life, the highs, the lows and everything in between. I got to hear her triumphs, her love, and her passion for life. Kat was truly an amazing person and she will be deeply missed.
