Kathleen Daugherty Siskin
(1952-2022)
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, relative, and friend passed away on September 14, 2022 of complications from a recent stroke. Kathy was born in Denver Colorado to parents “Mother Susan” Edna Norene Brown and “Father “Jack Oral Daugherty.
Kathy lived the majority of her life in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended High School at Skyline and later graduated with an Associates degree from Salt Lake Community College majoring in accounting and business management.
She married the love of her life at Zion Lutheran Church on June 4th 1979 to Hans Albert Siskin.
Kathy enjoyed her career as a credential specialist for IHC and worked nights at Usana Amphitheaters and volunteered work at Red Butte Garden where she met many lifelong friends. Kathy enjoyed music and theater seeing many bands’ for decades. She enjoyed traveling especially with her friends. She enjoyed working in her yard and was always seen by neighbors planting flowers and maintaining her Koi pond that she enjoyed so much.
Proceeding her in death 2004 (husband) Hans Siskin, 2016 (daughter) Wendy Lynn Maylett, (father) Jack Daugherty, (mother) Susan Daugherty, (brother) Rex Daugherty. She will be missed and survived by (brother) John Daugherty, (brother) Dennis Daugherty, (grandson) Tyler Jay Slack, (nieces) Kathy Burk & Christine Gunnell.
Kathy’s ashes will be disbursed in a private location shared with Hans at Brighton Ski Resort and will also be laid to rest next to her husband in a companion urn. Interment will take place in Star Valley Wyoming next to her parents and family members. Friends and Family will be invited to a Celebration of Life event in the spring of 2023 at the Red Butte Gardens, where she found peace and enjoyed so much.
