1942 - 2018
Kathryn Bischoff Ellis passed away in her home Thursday, April 12th 2018.
Kathy was born November 4th, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Anna and Dr. Fred K Bischoff. She grew up in the Nibley Park area.
Kathy attended South High School where she met and later married her husband, Dale C. Ellis in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 18th, 1965. She attended the University of Utah to obtain her Bachelor’s in Education. Kathy had a love of teaching, and taught high school business short hand, and typing classes at South High School for 12 years.
Dale and Kathy have 4 children together; Tysen Ellis, Karissa (Hendricks), and Elissa (Rask) and Jeremy who was a still born.
She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren that were her world. Niels Rask, III (16), Aricin Rask (13), Ayden Hendricks (9), Logan Hendricks (5), and Kaiya Hendricks (3).
Kathy’s love of gardening and flowers is evident in viewing her yard and her vast knowledge of all types of flowering plants. She loved to plant a variety of flowers from peonies to Lilly’s. She loved all things floral, and spring was her favorite season. She also served in the LDS Church as dedicated ward and stake librarian for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time creating lessons and handouts for primary teachers that all of the children loved.
She was also very adept at restoration of fine collectibles, baking, sewing, and decorating. Kathy will be missed immensely by everyone that knew her.
Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
