It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kathryn Adelaide Hapgood (fondly known as Katie). She passed away June 21, 2018 at the age of 21. Katie was born to Bryon and Gayleen Hapgood August 26, 1996 in K Read Obituary
I still cant believe that she's gone it years at my heart I started to get to know katie in school and she was a blessed soul truly one of kind one in a million she will always be loved. I wish god would send her back. I remember me Katie and my friend katelyn were planning a birthday party in school for all three of our birthdays we didnt follow but we had fun planning and that's what mattered. She was a great friend.
Katie was a dear, sweet friend. I could always count on her for hugs, friendship, laughs and great fun. She loved my kids oh so much! My family and I loved her deeply! She put others before herself, and had a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and it showed through her contanance and spirit. The last time I saw her, she gave my daughter the best gift... the Beauty and Beast Build a Bears for her to go dress up. My daughter loves them and still cherishes them knowing they came from Katie. Rest in peace my dearest friend, Katie. Oh I we will miss you and your bubbly personality.
To Bruce - you had a very special girl in your life. Although I haven’t seen her in a while, she remains in my heart. She was a friend to my grandson (Andrew) and we also shared another special friendship with Holly Johnson.
Katie & Holly were so wonderful to me when my dog died. At the time, Katie worked at Build-a-Bear. I was a recipient of one of her creations from there and she & Holly recorded a special message to me - which I still have.
To Katie’s parents - my heart goes out to you for your loss. As a parent, I cannot fathom what you are going through.

Katie was a one-of-a-kind light in this world. The first thought that comes to my mind is "Spunky!" She had an originality that brought a smile to my face every single time. There are no words that can say how inexplicably sad I am that she is no longer on this earth. My life has been forever touched by hers, all in positive ways. Saudades.
My heart is truly saddened by this. I will always remember her bubbly personality when she would come visit my parents. Sending you lots of love Gayleen, and to the rest of your beautiful family! ❤️
Radar (Katie) was my best friend. I remember when I first met her at a Brighton meeting. I saw her walking into the church and thought, "she looks like she knows what to do." So I followed her inside and asked if I could sit down next to her. She gave me a huge smile and said yes. We found out we were both KD's and going to be living together all summer! Throughout the summer we became closer, and closer. I have never met a more kind, loving and supportive person before. Radar was my everything. She came to Orem to help me whenever I felt sad. She would always be there for me when I needed her. She was amazing and even though she is gone I know that she is still with me. I love you to the Moon and back Radar. Love- O'Malley
Katie was so kind to me. I have always loved being her friend. At times she would come to my single's ward and my sister and I would sit with her. She always made me feel welcome whenever I came to Institute Choir. I have memories of standing around the piano with her and other choir members and chatting and laughing the evening away. I remember she found out about my love for animation and the How to Train Your Dragon movies. I showed up to a church activity one day and she was there and surprised me with a stuffed Toothless from Build-A-Bear. She was so kind to me and I will miss her laugh and her smile that was so big that it her eyes would close every time.
I'm really going to miss you, Katie.
Katie is one of my most best friends and I love her with all my heart. Some of my favorite memories is when she would sing songs with me. I also love getting ice cream and fries together. She always supported me and helped me in times when I felt so alone. I love you Katie forever and ever no matter what! To the moon and back. Thank you for all you have done. I have been blessed to have you in my life.
