Kathy Sue Larson Maughan's Obituary
Our sweet loving mother, Kathy Sue Larson Maughan, has left this earthly world on Friday May 22, 2020 and is now with our Heavenly Father. She had many struggles with her kidneys.
She was born, April 11, 1952 to Ross T. Larson and Elinora Noble Larson in Burley, ID at Burley Hospital.
She is survived by her 9 children, Christy, Heather, Tami, Arlin, Chandi, Wendi, Mary, Nicole, Michael and her doting husband, Craig A Maughan of nearly 50 years, 13 and 9/10ths grand children, her 2 sisters and a brother; Joyce, Reed and Raedene.
Kathy attended Burley High School. She had beautiful red hair for many years. Craig and Kathy married on August 6, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Craig had joined the Air Force and was stationed in Califorinia where they started a family. They also lived on Guam, Tacoma, WA and Kearns, UT. They raised nine children while Craig was often off on TDY for the Air Force.
Along with raising children Kathy still found time to fill her soul with hobbies: a balloon business, sewing, many crafts, crocheting/cross stitching individual boy & girl blessing baby outfits and blanket for each of her 9 children. When Kathy could find time to read she had her nose in many books; spiritual or mystery. She was a leader in many church positions. Her greatest accomplishment and joy was being surrounded by her family. Her legacy is bigger then the capacity that is legally allowed at her funeral.
If you would like to drive by during the graveside service it will be at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park on Wednesday May 27th, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
