I was a missionary who taught Kayleigh after she was baptized. She hadn’t been at church for awhile, and I’d never met her, but still when we knocked on her door she swung it open, got a huge smile and said, “ Sisters. I knew you’d be by soon. I’m happy to see you.” I have several happy memories sitting in her parents kitchen talking to her while she made us delicious food: homemade Alfredo and Raman. It was a very hard time of my mission and she was such a light to get to see and talk to.
The last time I saw Kayleigh was at Rori’s blessing, and I remember just how happy and proud Kayleigh looked. It was a special day and I loved getting to see her on such an important event.
