Keith Alma Larsen's Obituary
Keith Alma Larsen, 89, was relieved of his earthly pain & suffering on December 23, 2019 in Sandy, Utah. He was born in Burley, Idaho on May 30, 1930 to Sidney Alma Larsen and Mary Alta Bailey. He graduated from Burley High School in 1948. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in January 1951. He was sent to Korea in January 1952. He was honorably discharged in January 1953. He married Darlene G. Loveland on June 19, 1953 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with 5 children: Reo (Terrie) - West Valley City, UT, Kal (Carolyn) - Springville, UT, Sheryl - Taylorsville, UT, Lori - Taylorsville, UT & Kathy Lynne Kelson (Andy) - Orem, UT. He also has 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lamar & Robert & sister, Gwendolyn.
He worked in the HVAC industry all his life, retiring & leaving his business, Arctic Heating & Cooling, in the very capable hands of his long-time business partner & valued friend, Dave Calderon in Rupert, Idaho.
Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints having served in many responsibilities including many years as ward clerk and in the Bishopric and as a faithful home teacher.
Other interests, besides a deep love for his family included sports and fishing. His sense of humor brightened the lives of many whom he came in contact with.
He & Darlene moved to West Valley City, Utah in August 2005. Due to health concerns, he & Darlene moved to a senior living center in Sandy, UT in June 2019. Many thanks to Harmony Hospice for their loving care in his final weeks.
Funeral services will be held @ 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Jordan North 2nd Ward at 4270 S Falcon St., West Valley City, UT with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. preceding. Graveside services and burial will take place at Rupert Cemetery @ 450 N Meridian, Rupert, ID on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
