Keith Robert Pippin's Obituary
Keith Robert Pippin
August 14, 1938 – March 17, 2023
Keith Pippin passed away at 7:45 pm on March 17, 2023 at Mt. Olympus rehabilitation center. He was born on August 14, 1938 in Salmon, Idaho to George Austin Pippin & Ruth Alta Richardson. Keith married Arline Pippin on May 9, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Keith served in the Air Force as a radio intercept analysis specialist and was in the Marine Corps Reserves. After leaving the military he worked in the laundry area for various hotels, including the Hotel Utah and Red Lion and at the Metropolitan Laundry. He started as a delivery person getting the clean linens to various hotels and services and was highly valued because he was so dependable. Many of the places he delivered to said they could set their watches by him. He finished his career as a dry cleaner in the hotel industry and loved being able to serve those he worked with.
Keith will be sorely missed by his friends and neighbors in West Valley where he lived. He always cleared sidewalks and driveways of snow so they wouldn’t have to worry about getting it done. He also helped mow the lawns of those that weren’t able to do their own. A favorite spot of his was Jim’s Restaurant where they all knew him by name. He had his own booth and they would always have his coffee ready for him, just the way he liked it.
Keith is survived by his wife Arline, a daughter Anna, grandchildren and a sister, Kathleen Hanks.
Interment will be on Thursday, April 6, 2022 at 1pm at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
