1929 – 2017
Kenneth Briggs Baldwin, beloved father, grandfather and friend, age 88, passed away December 10, 2017 in Salt Lake City. Born July 6, 1929 in Oldham, Lancashire England to Joseph Baldwin and Iphis Partington. He married Brenda Millard on August 20, 1950. Together they raised 3 children, and had the joy of 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Ken served as a fire fighter in the World War II British Army and later attended architectural drafting school and received training to become an electrical engineer. In 1962 Ken, Brenda and their 3 children emigrated to America and settled in Southern California. There Ken worked for Boeing and ITT Cannon eventually retiring as chief electrical engineer and holds several patents. Ken was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served twice as a Bishop. He and wife Brenda served as full time missionaries in the Eugene Oregon Mission. Ken is survived by children Stephanie Gwilliam, Fiona Phillips and Wayne Baldwin. A gathering will be held 9:30 am and a memorial service at 10:00am on Friday December 15 in the LDS Eaglewood chapel, 200 S Eagle Ridge Dr, North Salt Lake.
