Ken not only designed hundreds of townhomes and apartments do me, he taught me how to build efficiently and affordably. He was a master at making the homes he designed look good and not as expensive to build. He was remarkable at solving any problems that came up.
I lo bed his easy laugh. He was a pleasure to work with. He left our world a better place with homes that families could afford. Bryson Garbett.
Condolences to Ken's family. I had the honor of working with Ken at Prowswood Incorporated during the 80's and again when Ken went independent in the 90's. He designed hundreds of condominiums and apartments for me during those years. Ken was a wonderful human being. There was no end to his talent and skill; the ultimate problem solver! During those times, building codes and handicap accessibility requirements were evolving quickly and implemented/imposed by municipalities. As I was working with Ken to design a particularly large apartment project, I was taken a back by his knowledge of all the new building code and accessibility requirements. He made it his responsibility to stay up-to-date on all the elements required to develop these large and complicated projects. Time after time, he amazed me with his understanding of all the elements. He was a genius, but there wasn't any hint of arrogance. He loved what he did and it showed. I learned so much from Ken and I found him to be one of those wonderful gentle souls! I will miss him.

Ken Hansen was my good friend from the 6th grade on. From school to sharing a cabin with him and other friends, to going hunting with him and his family, to a 3 month study trip to Mexico, he was always a generous, faithful and fun friend.
I hope to see him again when I make it to the Happy Hunting Grounds.

I knew Ken during our boyhood years. He was older than me and he always treated me like a little brother. He was very kind and respectful to me. He was a great example of how to treat others, with a caring heart and sincerity. I will always be grateful for his kindness and friendship.

My memory of Ken is him having a big smile on his face whenever I saw him. Another memory I love is around 1997 or '98 when I got to go camping with Great Grandpa Leroy in his motorhome with my Grandpa (Gary), and I think Ken, Boyd, and Ray were there along with Jeff. I've never known of any time when I've talked in my sleep before, but apparently I was claustrophobic in my sleep and woke everyone up shouting "Help! Get me out of here!" then I fell back asleep. I'm sorry about ruining everyone's sleep. :)
My most sincere condolences to your family for this loss. I will never forget the good times we had at the annual fish hunt when I was able to converse with Ken on various topics.
He was a kind man and surely will be missed.
