Kenneth “Paul” Littlefield reeled his last line November 1, 2021, at the age of 83.
Good ol’ boy Paul was an avid fisherman, entrepreneur, handyman, painter, chef, teacher, dancer, DJ, and maestro. Classically trained and heavily influenced by jazz, Paul’s beats are the bones behind local music legends and country music icons.
Country music star Paul, performed nightly at the Westerner and Canyon Inn. Paul recorded/toured with the Citations, Thunderbird Trio, Scattergun, and The Escorts, and was a performing drummer for Waylon Jennings.
Paul’s passion for percussion extended beyond his fingertips to his Boot-Scootin’ Boogie toes. Paul founded the Intermountain Country Dance Association, where he and his beloved dance partner/wife, Cathy were life-long members. The dynamic duo two-stepped their way through dance competitions and socials.
Certified as a Line Dance Judge, Paul taught Country Dance for East High, Cottonwood High, Granite School District, Park City Rec, Sandy Rec, and the University of Utah.
Paul Littlefield had a restless curiosity for the world. He loved to tinker until he mastered his craft. At work, Paul was held in high esteem for his innovation, grit, and optimism. Paul worked until he was almost 80 years old. While in his 70’s, Paul provided maintenance for Megaplex Theatres where he earned the following accolades from the Area Manager:

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Omer and Willberta, and his sister, Judy (Hunter). Paul is survived by his brothers Brent and Keith, wife Cathy (Shaw), former wives Martha Irene Scott and Annette “Jayke” Gregory, his children Kenneth Paul, Richard, Susan Bare, and Michael (Martha Scott); Robert and Rochelle Smith (Jayke Gregory), and stepdaughter Krista Jennings (Cathy). Paul is also survived by his ten grandchildren, four step grandchildren, a great-grandson and thirteen step great-grandchildren.
Paul’s Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM on Wednesday, November 10th at the Lone Peak Indoor Pavilion located at 10140 South 700 East in Sandy, UT. Due to the nature of the facility, donations are accepted in lieu of flowers.
