I have so much respect for Ken. The last time I saw him was in June at a potluck in his home, with lots Janice's family in town from Canada and elsewhere. At one point Ken asked for the floor and expressed his thanks and gratitude to all of us in attendance. He also bore his testimony. It was a moving speech, and I thought it showed patriarch level leadership. The most special moment for me occurred just before that. Ken was sitting in his chair, and I was seated on a couch just across from him. The chair next to him became open, and at exactly the same time I noticed the opening next to him and moved to fill it, he looked at me and patted the seat as if to say "Get over here young man and talk to me". It was simultaneous, and we both wanted the same thing! I wanted to visit with him as much as he wanted to visit with me! Truly a touching moment. I sat next to him and we talked about life. Ended up touring his latest home improvement project while he dictated the work that had been done. I'll never forget it.
