Kenneth Tims was quite simply one of the most influential and guiding male figures of my life. I first met him in 2000 when I started dating his granddaughter and my future wife, Jessica. He was strong, quiet and witty in a way that only a Texas son, born during the hard-scrabble years of the depression, could be. After meeting Jessica, he immediately accepted me into the clan with open arms. He did such an amazing job with his beloved Nada of raising their children and grandchildren. I'll miss chatting with Grandpa about BYU and Cowboys football, old country music (REAL country music) and business. You will be sorely missed Grandpa! I'm so glad I had the pleasure of getting to know you and look forward to seeing you again soon. A hui hou kakou, till we meet again!

My husband and I had the opportunity to be assigned as Ken’s church ministering helpers. It was the greatest calling ever! We tried to see him every Thursday and Saturday! His eyes would light up when we stopped by and we got to see his beautiful welcoming smile! We really enjoyed these visits. Sometimes we would read his life story ( special kudos to whomever it was that helped him write it) He has such delightful stories of his adventurous life & mischievous deeds! When we would get to the part of his courtship with Naida there left no doubt he adores her.
He had fun stories about his children too. Such a delightful man! We all will miss him but it’s a sure thing he and Naida are having a great reunion. Love you Kenny!
