Kenneth LaVor Vance's Obituary
Kenneth (Ken) Vance peacefully passed away in his West Valley City, Utah home early Sunday morning, May 7, 2023, just 47 days after the passing of his beloved wife. He was born 84 years ago in Salt Lake City, Utah to Stewart Lavor (Rex) Vance and Marie Williams Vance. Ken met his sweetheart Marjorie (Marge) Thomas Vance with whom he spent 65 wonderful years. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1965.
Ken is proceeded in death by his wife, Marge, his parents, his brothers Michael and Ronald, granddaughter Christina, and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Rose.
He leaves behind his brother, Steve (Linda), a brother-in-law Douglas Michael, three daughters: Donna, Vickie (Chris), and Kendell (Kevin), 10 grandchildren: Brittany, Jennifer, Dalin, Kevin (Stevie), Dane, Patrick (Heather), Emma, Morgan, Marcus (Gabby), and Sean (Chloe), and five great-grandchildren.
He lived a life dedicated to his family, his interests, and hobbies. He spent four years in the Air Force where he became an air traffic controller, and fate intervened introducing him to his beloved wife at a USO dance. They moved to California, and eventually back to Utah where he worked for the FAA or 30+ years.
A viewing will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM at Premier Funeral Services located at 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, Utah. A grave side service will be held at 11 AM at Valley View Cemetery 4335 West 4100 South, WVC, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife.
