“Never Apart”
Kenneth T. Jones, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on March 20th, 2013. He was survived for less than a day by his wife of 32 years, Vicky Lee Jones, who lost her battle with cancer. Neither was aware of the others’ passing and were undoubtedly surprised and delighted at their unexpected reunion before their Father in Heaven.
Ken was a Vietnam veteran who was assigned to the First Cavalry Division where he served bravely. He had a variety of occupations from pig farmer to geologist. Ken retired from a career as a Veterinary Technician at the University of Utah Research center. Vicky was a home maker and a volunteer who worked with victims of violent crimes. Ken and Vicky were avid readers and collectors. Both loved animals. They worked with them most of their lives. In their last endeavor, they were involved with a charity which rescued and placed wild mustangs.
They are survived by their children; Clark, Michele (Pat), Richard (Silvia), Laura, and, Charlie as well as their nine grandchildren. Ken is also survived by his mother Velma and brother Allen. He was preceded in death by father James and brother Mike. Vicky is also survived by her brothers Jerry and Randy. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Irene Robinson and brother Larry. Graveside services for both will be held on Thursday March 28th, at the Utah Veteran’s Cemetery & Memorial Park (17111 South Camp Williams Road) at 11 am. Special thanks to the wonderful hospice nurses at VistaCare.
