Kent Myrup Wilkins' Obituary
Kent Myrup Wilkins passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025.
He is the youngest child of Orson Abraham Wilkins and Lucille May Myrup Wilkins. He was born April 12, 1935 in Salt Lake City and attended Murray High School. Kent served an LDS Mission to the Eastern States serving mainly in Pennsylvania and New York. As part of his mission he participated in the Hill Cumorah pageant in Palmyra, NY. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1959 studying accounting.
Kent married Anna Christensen in the Logan Temple on September 14, 1962. He lived most of his married life in San Jose, California where they raised their two boys, Craig and Alan. Kent’s career was in accounting as a Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Financial Vice President. He retired from Anderson Jacobson, Inc. as its CFO and Financial VP at age 60.
After retiring, they moved to Westminster, Colorado where they lived for the next 10 years. During this time, they served in the Denver Temple, served as Family History Consultants and served in the Laotian Branch in the Denver North Stake.
After Denver, Kent and Anna returned to Utah, settling in American Fork near their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for the past 20 years. They both loved to support their grandchildren by attending all manner of events from choir concerts, sporting events, church talks, graduations, baptisms, priesthood advancements, and band concerts. It didn’t matter what the event was, they wanted to be there as a show of support and love.
Kent is survived by his two sons, Craig (Roseanne) of Tooele, UT, Alan (Wendy) of Lehi, UT: 16 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren with more to come, sisters-in-law Karen Christensen and Judy (Byron) Hardy of Salt Lake City, UT.
Viewing will begin at 10:00 am followed by the funeral services at 11:00 am on Friday January 2, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2178 North 1200 East, Lehi, UT 84043.
