Kim Gordon Bargeron
1939 - 2017
Kim Gordon Bargeron, A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother & Friend returned to his Heavenly Father 7 August 2017. He was born to Cecil Gordon Bargeron & Ruby Jane Bartholomew Bargeron in Provo, Utah on 11 August 1939.
A graduate of Provo High School 1957, he then joined the National Guard, training at Fort Ord, CA. During his service with the National Guard, he attended BYU, graduating with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1959, while at BYU, he married his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Williams Bargeron. After graduation, he took a job with Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI. While working at Dow, he took a leave to pursue his PhD studies at University of Arizona, Tucson. Finishing his studies, he returned to work at Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI as a Chemical Engineer, retiring in 1994. Not long after retirement, Kim and Carolyn returned to the place of their birth, Provo, UT.
He was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn and his children; Christine Pay, Mona [Jim] Starks, Mark [Christopher Harrison] Bargeron, Michael [Lani] Bargeron, Cory [Holly] Bargeron, David [Beverly] Bargeron, Kevin [Tami] Bargeron. Kim, is also survived by his siblings Brent Bargeron, Laura Emmerson, Ruth Cottam, & Joan Bjarnson, 26 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren.
The family wishes to express sincerest gratitude for the support they have received in the loss of their loved one.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Grandview 11th Ward, 900 West 2150 North, Provo, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment at the Provo City Cemetery.
