Knute was always available to lend a hand, he was a great help to me while I lived in Utah. Once he helped me with a lot of junk with his truck to bring it to the Salt Lake City dump, as we drove on 80 to the dump the tarp let loose as I was flipping out Knute calmly says to me now we have a dragons tail. I will miss camping and hiking with him are long drives and conversations. I just learned of his passing and when I read the obituary I realized I was in Utah when he passed and that was the first time I was there and didn't go to see him. He was one of a kind a great guy and a great friend.

I’m so sorry I can’t be there Friday to celebrate Knute. We are babysitting in Texas.
