Kolette McClurg's Obituary
Kolette Montague McClurg was born March 30, 1945, in Payson, Utah to Mike and Annie Montague. She died on October 9, 2021, in her home, surrounded by family.
Kolette was the youngest of four children, Monte Montague, Anitra Martin and Jerry Montague. She was a graduate of Utah State University and was an elementary teacher and school librarian for many years. Kolette was the wife of Larry McClurg and mother to KatiAnn McClurg, Mindi Grant and Audrey Wise (Chad Wise). She was grandmother to Abbi, Sage, Cole, Rafe, William and Tatum and great-grandmother to Azreala and Remi. Kolette loved poetry and wrote almost every day. She was Utah State Poet of the year in 2000. She Loved the Oregon Coast and after she and Larry retired, they spend many summers as Junior Ranger volunteers at Sunset Bay State Park. Kolette did not like going to funerals, so she did not want a funeral or any services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Best Friends Animal Society or your local school.
