After a two year battle with cancer, Kyle Bert Hansen died on November 4, 2014 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his family in Goshen, UT. He was 57 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Laura Youd; his daughters, Tracy (Jake) Jasperson (Kaysville), Ashley (Nick) Taylor (Elk Ridge), Stephanie Hansen, Hillary Hansen, his son Chad Kyle (Krystal) Hansen (Santaquin) and 11 grandchildren.
Kyle was born on July 2, 1957 in Payson Utah to his father, the late Charles Bertran Hansen, and his mother, Marlene Cherry Hansen. He grew up in Goshen with a loving family and remained a lifelong resident of Goshen.
He is survived by his mother, his brothers, Joel Hansen (Nephi), Brian (Kelly) Hansen (Nephi), and his sisters Patricia (Brent) Palmer (Payson), and Lisa (Jim) Brereton (Elberta).
Kyle married Laura on February 4, 1978. They lived in Payson for a short time and then moved to Goshen and raised five children there. Kyle had a high moral work ethic. He took pride in a job well done and worked very hard to provide for his family. He worked in many different fields throughout his life including shearing sheep, mining, drilling, trucking, even owning his own trucking business until we was too weak to work. Kyle was very talented with his hands, he could fix or build most anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether camping, hunting, trap shooting or gathering wood and pine nuts. Most of all, Kyle loved his family and did what ever was needed for them. He was an adoring grandfather and requested time with his grandkids as often as possible.
