Kyley Joseph Hansen's Obituary
Kyley Joseph Hansen, 33, was whisked away from this life in a moment after experiencing an accidental drowning on July 4th, 2023.
Kyley came into this world like a "tank" on September 14th, 1989, weighing nearly 12 lbs! He was born in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and was the youngest son and number 5 of 6 children born to Steve and Kathy Hansen. As a child, his blonde, curly hair and sweet disposition charmed those around him. Kyley grew to tower above his siblings in height and was a giant to them in many other ways. At age 19, Kyley met the love of his life, Angela Rackham.
Kyley was educated by his mother at home throughout his foundational K-12 schooling years. He chose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Recife, Brazil mission where he forever impacted many lives. Shortly after Kyley returned from his mission, he married his sweetheart, Angela, on November 22nd, 2013. Together, they have 3 children, with another due to arrive in October. Kyley later went on to complete a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
Kyley was an incredibly kind, tender, patient, loving, and devoted husband and father to his wife and children. He was intentional and sincere in his relationships and all that he did. He always strove to improve himself and his example encouraged others to do the same. Though often quiet by nature, he had a gentle playful side that always drew people to him. Kyley was a man of integrity and would always help anyone in need.
Kyley had a prolific imagination and was an achiever. In his last few years, he found joy and challenge in physical fitness, creative writing, electronic music composition and singing. He authored a book, "An Unveiled World" and built a following on his Spotify "Kyphose", tiktok and other platforms where he created many songs and videos that have helped others face challenges. His music and words will be cherished forever by those who knew him.
Kyley is survived by his wife, Angela Rackham Hansen, and children: Asher(7), Naomi(5), Violet(2) and Ada Josephine. He is also survived by his father, Steve Hansen (Patricia), and siblings: Terence Hansen (Sarena), Roshena Cold (Scott), Torrey Hansen, Manette Manalo (Jon). He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Hansen, and brother, Zachary Hansen.
