LaClead Olson's Obituary
LaClead Olson, 89, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Clead was born to Loyal and Clara Olson on September 10, 1929, in Farmington, Utah. He had two brothers and four sisters. Clead married Nancy P. Bingham on June 1, 1955, where they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple.
After their marriage, Clead and Nancy spent two years in California, where he served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War. They eventually settled in Ogden, Utah, to raise their family.
Clead loved good music. He always maintained a beautiful yard and garden, and was a skilled leather crafter. He loved to travel and spend time with his family.
Clead is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Nancy; his two sisters, Rhela Moulding (Montana), and Billie Scheel (Wisconsin); his son, Mark Olson, and his two daughters Melanie Robinson (Cecil) and Julie Johnson; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church at 6350 Combe Road in Ogden, Utah 84403. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Internment at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden, Utah.
