Lance Anthony Guzman's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Lance Anthony Guzman, age 48 on August 26, 2023.
Lance was born in Spain, he grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and moved to Utah in his teens. Lance was always curious and fascinated by the supernatural and science. He loved anything to do with outer space and always wanted to learn more about the universe. He loved watching any rocket and shuttle launches. Lance was good with his hands, loved working on models of naval jets, battleships, and space shuttles during his youth. He was creative, artistic, loved music and being outdoors in the mountains or desert where he could see the stars shining brightly. He was an entrepreneur owning his own carpet, pool cover and tile business. Lance was a skilled tile craftsman, and his tile designs were stunning due to his meticulous nature and attention to detail. Lance continued his tile work up until his last day with us.
Lance is survived by his mother, Ingrid Dame, stepfather, John Dame, father, Frank Guzman, sisters Melanie Wakefield, Leah Carroll, Monica Tucker and nieces Courtney, Sera, Cayden, Kayla, Koral, Kendall, Kiley, Khloe, Sophie, great-niece Crimsyn and nephews Samuel, Karter, and great-nephew Korver.
As Lance was an avid sci-fi and Star Trek fan, we would like to share a quote from the late Leonard Nimoy:
“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.”
