Larry John Clubb's Obituary
Larry John Clubb, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on April 12, 2023 at the age of 66. Larry was born on November 5, 1956 to Walter “Walt” and Juanita Clubb in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Larry was a man with a sense of humor that lifted spirits and brought joy to those around him. He never passed up the opportunity to assign a nickname to most people he met. He had a gift to be able to bring a lightheartedness to many situations, making it more enjoyable to those involved. Throughout his life, he had many interests and hobbies, including building and launching rockets - a testament to his adventurous spirit. He was an exceptional cook and loved making delicious meals for his family and friends. He was dedicated to his family and worked hard to make sure they had a good life. In earlier years, he loved camping, hunting and spending time outdoors.
Larry was a member of the LDS Church and served in many church callings throughout his life.
In his professional life, Larry was a master electrician and ran his own company, Highland Electric, for 23 years. He loved his Highland employees like his own family. He was an active member of the IEC and served as its president in 2007 and 2008. Recently, he enjoyed working alongside the team at Scotvale Electric whom he considered family as well and always had great stories of the fun times they had throughout the workday.
Larry was married to Cynthia Merrill in 1976, later divorced. He married Ellen Jones Fleming in 1990 and together they raised six children.
Larry is survived by his children: Kevin (Amanda) Clubb, Brent Clubb, Daniel Clubb, Kira Fleming, Jeremy (Aley) Fleming, Alexandria (Dayton) Fleming. Also, survived by thirteen grandchildren: Avery Clubb, Lilian Clubb, Lucas Clubb, Aubree Fleming, Landon Fleming, Felix Fleming, Keaton Hale, Dusty (Ben) Martin, Cody Grosland, Bailey Odom, Raygen Grosland, Amber Grosland, Shyloh Grosland, Also former in-laws Whitney (Michael) Stidom and Richard (Brooklyn) Hale.
Larry is also survived by his brother, Robert (Elayne) Clubb, sister Linda (Ron) Naccarato, and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter-in-law, Teri Clubb.
Larry will be remembered as a kind, generous, and loving man who brought happiness and laughter to everyone he knew. His impact on the lives of those he touched will always be cherished.
Funeral services will be held April 22, 2023 at the Bennion 4th Ward, 6100 S Kamas Dr. Taylorsville, UT 84129 at 12 pm. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral from 10-12 at the same location. Larry will be cremated and his ashes spread.
