Larry Lynn Ivie's Obituary
Larry Lynn Ivie
Larry Lynn Ivie returned home to his Father in Heaven on September 20, 2016, at the age of 58. Larry passed after a brief, intense battle with cancer. Larry was born on December 27, 1957, to Wendell Raymond and M. Hazel Ivie in Provo, Utah. He was raised in Orem, Utah, where he met the love of his life, Kathy Darlene Johnson. They married on December 10, 1976 and had three children together – Bryce (Amanda), Stacey and Travis (Brianne).
Larry loved spending time outdoors with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Most of his outdoor adventures took place in Spanish Fork Canyon, in the Diamond Fork area. Fishing the river was one of his favorite things to do in life. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, but he took the most pride in being a good grandpa to his “little coyotes” – Kayla and Kyson.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Ivie, his mother, Hazel Ivie, Kathy Darlene Johnson and his daughter, Stacey Ivie. He is survived by his sons, Bryce and Travis Ivie, daughter-in-laws, Amanda (Bryce) and Brianne (Travis), grandchildren, Kayla and Kyson Ivie and two brothers.
A special thanks to Dan and Reed for their friendship and all the help they provided Larry in his time of need.
A graveside service will be held at the Provo City Cemetery (610 South State) on Monday, September 26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
