Lawrence Eugene Geisler's Obituary
Lawrence Eugene Geisler was born December 3, 1939 to Jacob Earl Geisler & Mary Louise Wohrle in Hamilton, Ohio. He was the oldest of 3 children, with 2 younger sisters: Carol & Janet. Lawrence loved his country immensely; so first chance he got, which was right after High School graduation, he joined the Navy. He served as an airplane navigator/ controller on 2 naval ships & loved every minute of it.
Following the Navy, Lawrence moved to Utah where he attended Weber state University. After moving he met his eternal companion & sweetheart, Donna Nuttall. They were sealed for time & all eternity in the Logan, Utah temple on August 13,1965 & had 4 beautiful children. He loved his family & would do anything to support his children or grandchildren.
Lawrence was one to expand his expertise & dabbled in a lot of things. He was an entrepreneur at heart, a business man, a leader, a teacher, a salesman & a professional speaker. His main focus was in the insurance business & Toastmasters International, where he served for over 40 years. He loved learning & teaching within professional speaking & helping others to do the same.
Lawrence loved to serve & to be around people. He was always offering to volunteer, he was on two city councils and even helped the inmates at the Utah state prison to become their best selves. If something needed to be done you could count on Lawrence to get it done.
Lawrence was a devoted convert member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved the Lord & dedicated his life to the gospel of Jesus Christ. He faithfully served 3 church missions, one as a young missionary & 2 inner-city service missions later in life with his eternal companion. He was always ministering & serving to those in need. His love for the temple was shown through his many years of service at the Jordan River Temple.
Lawrence was a fighter & stubborn to the bone; yet, he was always upbeat & positive. He always had a smile on his face & was never known to complain, even when he was in pain. However, dementia proved to be a struggle as it took away his ability to do the things he loved. Lawrence was called back to his eternal home on September 8, 2023. He will be missed immensely.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, mother & sister Carol. He is survived by his sister (Janet Herald), His wife (Donna) & their 4 children & spouses; Jacob (Julie) Geisler, Bill (Jeanette) Geisler, Cathrine (Steve) Patten & Mary Louise (David) Pierce.
