Lawrence Leroy "Larry" Waggoner's Obituary
Lawrence Leroy “Larry” Waggoner passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, in Clearfield, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren. He was born June 29, 1943, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, eldest son to Leroy Ira “Cas” Waggoner and Marjorie May. He graduated from Davis High School, Weber State College, and the University of Denver with a Juris Doctorate. He served a faithful LDS mission to the Southern California mission where he also met his eternal companion, Sharon Lane Story. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on December 26, 1964, and had four children, Anne Marie Thompson (Sven Bakker), Scott Lawrence, Jennifer Bertagnole, and Kristy Lynn (Michael Dean). He is survived by his brother, Thomas Waggoner, and his sister, Waunalee Hensley, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents and a beloved brother, Michael Wayne Waggoner, Sr.
He served many years as an attorney, judge, and interim police chief, retiring as the Clearfield City attorney. He was a proud bagpiper and member of the Galloway Highlanders Pipes and Drums of Utah. He was a lifelong and avid Davis Dart and sports fan. He is dearly beloved and will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26th, 11:00 am at the Kaysville 10th Ward, 1039 Crestwood Dr. Kaysville, with a viewing Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm and from 9:30 – 10:30 Thursday prior to services. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
