Layne Alan Hansen's Obituary
Layne Alan Hansen, aged 62, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on February 18, 2025, after a difficult battle with throat cancer. He was born on February 2, 1963, and went to Skyline High School.
In 1982 Layne met his lifelong friend and the mother of their son Rhonda Brown (McKinnon). Together they had Joshua Hansen, the greatest joy of Layne’s life. That is, until years later he fell in love with each of his grandchildren, Jackson, Jhett, and Josie Hansen.
Layne loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He was very kind and such a funny guy. His home was a place where anyone could go to enjoy his funny remarks and sense of humor. You knew his company would be a good time and his home was place to get away from everyday life.
In addition to his son and grandchildren, Layne is survived by his brother Cory (Karen), sisters Michelle (Tim) and Sharon (Erik), one nephew, Joseph, and eight nieces: Jessica (Matt), Ashley, Danielle (Ian), Nicolette (Andrew), Dominique (Michael), Cassandra, Hillary and Bethany.. He was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia, father Wayne, and brother Roger.
Memorial services will take place on March 3, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located on 4350 S 1100 E in Millcreek, Utah, and will conclude with a dedication of his resting place at 12:00 PM at Elysian Burial Gardens,1075 E 4580 S, next to his mother.
