In loving memory of Leatrice Florence Attaway
On Tuesday, June 21st, 2022, Leatrice Attaway passed peacefully at the age of 81 in their Layton home.
Leatrice was born May 18th, 1941, to Herbert and Opal Stein in Houston, Texas where she grew up on a farm, waking up at the crack of dawn taking care of the animals. She often told the stories about how she would have to wring the chickens’ necks and see headless bodies run around. (Teasing the kids)
In 1960 Leatrice graduated from Byron High school, Wyoming.
In 1969 Leatrice married the love of her life Bobby Attaway, 53 wonderful years, and together in Houston, Texas they raised 4 beautiful children: Don, Daniel, Loretta and Dwight, doing everything together, camping, boating, water skiing, fishing etc. Leatrice enjoyed the boys’ sports, but mostly Loretta’s cheerleading. As Leatrice was a bowling instructor the whole family had no choice but to get good at bowling and they did. Leatrice’ favorite colors are red and purple, she also enjoyed dominos, cards, painting, planting flowers, spending time with grandchildren, her birds, bird watching, the years they spent full time RVing and just enjoying life.
Survived by sister Doretha (Duane), brother Herb (Renee), Sol, husband Bobby, children Don, Daniel, Loretta (Russ) and Dwight (Heidi), 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Herbert Stein, Opal Willaby, baby brother Larry and brother Tom.
Her passing has left a hole in our hearts, and she will forever be missed. WE LOVE YOU MOM!
There will be a small service at Premier Funeral Services 5335 South 1950 West Roy, Utah on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, 1:30pm.
