Lee Ann Mikkelsen Dopp's Obituary
Lee Ann (Mikkelsen) Dopp July 1, 1948 – April 1, 2026
Lee Ann (Mikkelsen) Dopp, 77, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026.
Lee Ann loved her family and deeply missed her beloved husband, Leland Paul Dopp, the love of her life, who passed away on January 2, 2024. Their love and life together remained close to her heart, she ached daily to be with him again.
Together with Paul, Lee Ann lived a life centered on family, compassion, and quiet strength. They opened their hearts and home not only to their children and grandchildren, but to many foster children throughout the years. Leaving a legacy of generosity, resilience, and enduring love.
She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who took on many roles throughout her life to ensure her family had what they needed. She instilled in her children the value of hard work, encouraging them to earn the things they desired. She would often sing one of her favorite hymns, “Love at Home,” to her children, in a not so subtle way to remind them of the importance of kindness and harmony during the inevitable moments of childhood chaos in a home of six kids.
Lee Ann found great joy in connecting with others, always taking a sincere interest in their stories. In her later years, she especially loved driving for Uber and Lyft, where she met people from all walks of life. She often shared stories of those encounters, treasuring the conversations and connections that became some of her most meaningful experiences.
