I will ALWAYS remember the rendition of Tevia he did from Fiddler on the Roof.
What a Voice!
What did I know? I was just a Kid.
I've seen dozens of versions of that song.
TOPOL and LEE FARNSWORTH are the best.

He was in Japan with his Family. Ken told me some good stories.
He has a CHOCHIN (Japanese Lantern) made with the Farnsworth family name on it.
When I served in Japan on my LDS Mission, I had a similar lantern made with 五月の森 or Meibos - May Forest
I did that in honor of him.

Grandpa I'll miss you so much. You came to all my important milestones like my ballet shows at BYU, my wedding, baby blessings of my children, and most recently the baptism of Hannah. I loved hearing your stories and your singing. I love you.

I grew up in the Edgemont 5th ward with a dozen or so boys Bryan's age and spent many hours in the Farnsworth home including playing basketball in the driveway and watching Saturday morning cartoons in the basement after a sleepover.
Soon after I was married, Lee called me to serve as his counselor in the BYU 126th Ward Bishopric. He and Gayle were terrific in that calling and endeared themselves to hundreds of young students that lived in the Pine View Apartments. Serving at Bishop Farnsworth's side is where I first learned how to minister as a church leader. I will forever be grateful that Lee took an inexperienced young man as his counselor and mentored me as a friend.
Having lived in Tokyo for 6 years now, Kaye and I often are reminded of the great service Lee and Gayle have rendered in this country, and understand their passion for all things Asian.
Our love to you Gayle. We will miss Lee.

Grandpa loved to be with his family and you can see that from our covid video. He was very blessed to get to know my grand daughter, his great great granddaughter as well! The last time I saw grandpa in the hospital, we talked for quite a while about family, his apartments, his health, and his desires for estranged family to come back to the family so they can enjoy the blessings of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He just couldn't understand why family would reject family who love them. Before we left, he asked for a kiss on the cheek and I'm so glad I got to share that moment with him. Grandpa was larger than life and even in his infirmity and sickness, he was bright and animated about the things he cared most about. What a great example of goodness and family!

What a legacy of faith, grit, family, frugality, music, singing, laughter, gathering, and leadership our beloved grandpa has given to all of us kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. His love of grandma was also so sweet and they were a great team. Thank you for all you did for us grandpa! We miss you already but are excited for a marvelous reunion on the other side where I'm sure your seeing all the work and good you can do for the grand plan and making things happen.
