Leslie Kay Lansford's Obituary
Leslie Kay Lansford, 78, of Roy, Utah passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026 at McKay Dee Hospital.
Born on September 22, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to Tommy and Flo Harris. Leslie graduated from Ogden High School and went on to study at Weber State College. Leslie worked for IRS, tended children in home until she settled on her career working with children at Municipal Elementary. She started as the lunch lady and then moved on to be the Librarian. Leslie touched and inspired many children and was Librarian of the year in the Weber School District and mentored many new librarians. Her love and passion for her librarian position showed everyday she was at Municipal Elementary, and in every child that she came in contact with. Leslie married her husband, her constant companion in May of 1981 and they have 3 children.
Leslie loved her dogs and cats and walked her favorites Tuff and Binx, yes a dog and cat around the block every day that she was able to. She enjoyed camping in her trailer with the NUGS camping club and the monthly dinners.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Lansford; her sons Kyle Gorder (Marion Gorder) and Benjamin Lansford; her daughter Leslie Shurtliff (Ryan Shurtliff). She has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Mike Harris (Roxanne) and her sister Linda Middleton and many nieces and nephews who will miss Aunt Lelie dearly. She is preceeded in death by her parents Tommy and Flo Harris and her brother Brent Harris.
Leslie desired that there not be any services but that her ashes and the ashes of her dog Tuff be scattered where they can walk together again. She would desire that donations be made to your favorite pet shelter in her memory.
Leslie’s warmth, generosity, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
