Lidia Xiques Wilson's Obituary
September 23, 1960 – June 30, 2014 Lidia Xiques Wilson, loving wife, daughter, sister and friend passed away peacefully in her home on Monday June, 30, 2014, at the age of 53 after a 4 year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on September 23, 1960 to Tiburcio & Guadalupe Xiques and raised in Chalco, Mexico. Lidia was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a full-time missionary in the Northern Torreon Mexico Mission. She married her sweetheart, Layne Eugene Wilson, for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on July 31, 1993. Lidia was a great homemaker and peacemaker. She loved spending time with family. She served faithfully in the nursery, Young Women, Primary, Sunday school, and Relief society. She loved temple work and genealogy. Lidia was a wonderful sister and friend to all. She served with humility and compassion. She touched many lives. Lidia is survived by her loving husband, Layne; her parents, Tiburcio and Guadalupe Xiques; Her siblings, Magdaleno (Joyce) Xiques, Aurora (Raymundo) Hernandez, Tiburcio (Maria) Xiques, Rafael (Socorro) Xiques, Lorenzo (Carmen) Xiques, David Xiques, Marcela (Chris) Smith, Graciela Aguirre, Teresa Xiques, and Alex Xiques; many nephews, nieces and extended family. A viewing will be held 6:00-8:00pm Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the LDS Stake Center, located at 6710 West 4145 South, West Valley City, UT. Funeral services will be held at the same location Monday July 7, 2014 at 11:00am with a viewing prior to the Service from 9:30-10:45am. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West. Our family would like to thank friends, neighbors, and the caring staff of the Huntsman cancer center, CNS Hospice, for their special support.
