Liesel Hoskins' Obituary
Liesel Hoskins
March 31, 1968 – April 18, 2023
Born a twin to parents Robert and Kay Hoskins in 1968, Liesel was as unexpected as she was spunky. I’m sure her siblings Shawn, Wes, and Becky can attest to that firecracker personality. She was unafraid to let you know her opinion and she had a genuine talent for speaking her mind that anyone would envy.
She loved the Ranch she grew up on, horseback riding, participating in rodeo during her high school years and working with the cattle during roundup. Even after moving to Utah in her early adulthood, you could sense there was still a cowgirl’s spirit within, eagerly awaiting that next chance to mount a saddle and ride. She did often return home to the ranch to help with cattle roundup throughout her lifetime.
She spent most of her career in sales and marketing, although her passion lay in naturopathic medicine and herbs. If you had an ailment, she had a natural herbal remedy promised to help heal it. Her love for naturopathic medicine led to the brief ownership of her Herbal store, which she was very proud of.
She was quirky and adventurous and always up for a good time. She loved skiing, boating, skydiving, riding motorcycles, camping and bonfires. A self-described people person, you could easily see her spirit shine when she was around others.
She had one beautiful daughter, Chantae, whom she loved with every ounce of her heart. They were each other’s rocks up until her passing. A fierce lover of animals, she also had many fur babies that meant the world to her, including pups, Rawley, Gabriel and Maverick.
Liesel was a free spirit and beautiful in every sense of the word. She was a comforting friend when you needed one. She was a kind and caring daughter. The other half of her twin sister, Becky, and a wonderful aunt that was always inviting. She was charming, hilarious, and witty. She was always the life of the party and will be missed immensely.
In remembrance, there will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday the 29th, at 1:00pm, located at the American Legion, 128 S Main St. Layton Utah 84403.
She is survived by her father, Robert Hoskins, sister Becky (Vaughn) Dettmann, brothers Shawn (Audra) Hoskins, Wes Hoskins and her daughter, Chantae. She is preceded in death by her mother Kay Hoskins, and sister-in-law Tracy Hoskins and her grandparents.
