It was my blessing and pleasure to take the sacrament to this sweet woman while she was recovering from a fall until she had recovered enough to attend church again. I enjoyed the visits we had and the New Jersey accent that would make an appearance from time to time. She was always outgoing and kind to all. I will miss her.
Lottie was a light to all around her. Her little New Jersey accent could be annoying to us Floridians who were exposed to those accents from "up north", but in her case, it became endearing. She absolutely LOVED playing BINGO and MEXICAN TRAIN DOMINOES, and she had no qualms about expressing her happiness and joy whenever she felt it. Another example is when "D" Building (in the condos) had the Memorial Day Breakfast. She was so happy at the activity, and talked about it for many days thereafter. Such was her enthusiasm for activity and for friends. I'll always remember the two sweet times she and I broke into the old German song, "Du, du liegst mir im Hertzen..."; we had a spirit-to-spirit connection even through that old Marlene Dietrich song. I love ya, Lottie! We'll sing together again sometime in the future!!!!!
Lottie was my neighbor, she always had a smile, I used to do her hair when I was the beautician there at mount Timp Village, she loved her hair to look nice, I enjoyed her stories, I’m so glad she didn’t have to suffer with pain anymore ❤️🙏❤️
