In memory of Lilia Martínez who lived happily from January 6, 1931 to April 11, 2022. Lilia was the daughter of Quintín García González and Guadalupe Urrutia Granados, born in the mountains of San Isidro Guerrero, state of Chihuahua, Mexico. Growing up with her 14 siblings, being the fifth daughter, Lilia became a beautiful hard-working woman always at the service and teaching of children. She taught by singing with love and patience. During her journey in life, she met and married her first love, Joel Martínez Ceniceros on November 13, 1954. After a year of marriage, Lilia and Joel converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lilia and Joel sealed their marriage in the Mesa Arizona Temple on November 13, 1961. Lilia and Joel had 13 children, and their descendants include 47 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and 40 in-laws. A large family of approximately 163 members. Her love and affection deepened in her service to her family and in the church. Lilia served in the church's relief society and primary organization as a teacher and president. She also compassionately served as a visiting teacher. Her testimony of Jesus Christ and preaching of the gospel was steadfast until she left this life. We love her and we will miss her.
